Welcome
I am very excited to be in my 30th year with QISD. My current position is a Dyslexia Therapist for Thompson Middle School. This year makes four years that I have been back at the middle school. I have previously worked at Cannon, Butler, and FHS. The first 13 years of my career in education were as a 3rd-grade teacher for DC Cannon. I was also a previous PAL (Peer Assistance and Leadership) sponsor for Ford High School. I love helping students to grow and look forward to seeing my students "level up" this year!
Education
I am a 1989 Quinlan ISD graduate where I earned my first few college hours through Eastfield College while in high school. After high school, I attended Trinity Valley Community College to complete my basics before transferring to East Texas State University (now A&M Commerce). There I completed my Bachelor's degree and obtained my teaching certification. From 2004 to 2006 I attended Southern Methodist University Learning Therapy Program and became a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT). In December 2015 I earned my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and in May 2016 I earned my Masters in Educational Administration all from Texas A&M Commerce.
Family Life
I have been married for 31 years to my high school sweetheart and together we have three wonderful boys. Our oldest is Robert (29). He is married to Katelynn and together they have my beautiful granddaughters Charlotte and Faith. My 2nd born is Tyler (25). He is married to Cheyenne and they have Gracelyn, Luke, and Everyle. My baby is Matthew (23) who recently married his high school sweetheart, Tori. They both recently graduated from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, TX. In addition to spending lots of family time, my husband and I run a home-based business and a small farm.

7:00- 7:30 AM Daily
4:15- 5:00 PM Tuesday & Thursday
