My Experience:

My name is Jessica Bunker, and I will be teaching 7th grade math and 7th grade advanced math. This will be my second year in Quinlan, but my 24th year in education. I got to see a lot of growth in my students last year, and I'm looking forward to another great year!

My Personal Life:

My husband (John), daughter (Katie) and I live just outside of Quinlan. My daughter just graduated high school, so I'll have a lot more spare time on my hands this year. I enjoy gardening and working in my flowerbeds, and taking care of our animals. We have cows, donkeys, chickens, dogs and cats. I also have four bonus children who are grown, and 4 grandkids.

My Educational Philosophy:

My goal is for every student to end the year with a greater sense of confidence in their mathematical abilities and stronger reasoning skills. I believe all students are capable of learning and succeeding in math. By maintaining high expectations within a positive and supportive classroom environment, I empower students to develop the perseverance needed to tackle challenging problems and apply their thinking skills to real-world situations.
