Welcome to 7th grade RLA at Thompson Middle School!

My name is Laura Portillo, and this is my 1st year in Quinlan ISD. I am super excited to be a Quinlan Panther, and I will be teaching 7th grade RLA at Thompson Middle School and sponsor for the Blue Babes Drill Team! 

 

I have been teaching for 25 years, and I am a native of Garland, Texas. I have taught in Garland ISD, Richardson ISD, and Temple ISD. I went to Bishop Lynch High School, Class of 1990, and I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas. I completed my masters in curriculum and instruction with Grand Canyon University College of Education online, and I am certified in Secondary English 6th-12th and ESL Supplemental.
