Mr. McLean's Webpage!

Mr. Casey McLean is a trombonist who recently graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2024 with a Bachelor’s in Trombone Performance and in Music Education. There he studied under Mr. John Kitzman and Mr. Barry Hearn, the former and current principal trombones of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Mr. McLean additionally performed in a variety of ensembles such as the Meadows Wind Ensemble, the Meadows Symphony Orchestra, various chamber groups, and the Mustang Band.

 

After graduation, Mr. McLean student taught at Highland Park ISD where he, along with directors and techs worked with the Highlander Band in their 2024 marching season. Additionally, he had the opportunity to work with the Highland Park Middle School bands, where his love for teaching middle school band blossomed. 

 

Aside from his passion for teaching music, Mr. McLean participates in many hobbies such as fishing, reading, painting, gigging, video games, basketball, and creating short-form music videos.
